Vision Unlimited; (2021) 24" x 36"; Acrylic Vision Unlimited [2021} J.Bonegard; acrylic on canvas. "A vision is better manifested, than explained," says the artist, @j.bonegard. This logic is the embodiment of one corner of the canvas of this painting; its colors symbolic of clarity on one hand, and enigma on the other hand. On the canvas, are six color variations, all expressive of the depths that vision often travels to reveal the future.
Skylight (2021) 18" x 24"; Acrylic Imagine yourself in a remote cottage, lying down on thinly-cushioned bench, in a windowless room, with your eyes set on a narrow-gauge, two-pane opening that reveals the source of an overhead light - the sky in all its majesty. In the words of the artist, "what you see depends on you, the observer, and what the heaven chooses to reveal to you."
The Truth (2022) 30" x 40"; Acrylic The Truth (2022); 30"x 40"; acrylic on canvas. In the middle of this canvas is a symbol of the cross, a sign that initially points toward the subject of religion and spirituality, but intended to stand for a lot more. In the mind of the artist, the work of abstraction explores the complex realm of human fallibility, vulnerability to propaganda, and the real tendency for a majority to be completely wrong over a moral issue. In one interpretation of this work, the 'cross' stands for the singular, disregarded opinion, while the four 'check' signs on the corners of the 'cross' stand for the popular, but corrupt opinion. In the words of the artist, "four rights don't always make a right," a statement that is characteristically depicted by the use of primary colors around the very conspicuous black paint.

Intimacy (2022) 30" x 40"; Acrylic This artwork, is another variant of the 'Baby Talk' series that started earlier in 2022. This work symbolizes the proximity and closeness that are parts of the essential ingredients of a healthy relationship. .
Hope (2021) 30" x 40"; acrylic on canvas In more than one instance on this canvas, is a semblance of the small case letter 'h', with one vertically oriented in a reverse relationship to the other. In the creation of this work, the subject of hope played deep, down in the artist's soul, as one critical component of real human existence. For without hope, there is no 'becoming', in which case our journey on earth loses its real meaning. "As an artist, I often wonder what color one should allocate to fully depict hope on a piece of canvas. In my visual cerebral, the color black best describes this ultimate of human existence." It is therefore no accident that the color black anchors the message of this artistic expression on this canvas. To the observer, wherever you may be in your journey on this planet, it is my wish that the positive feeling of hope encircles every inch of your being.
